Road communication between Gobindaganj-Dinajpur suspended due to flood
GAIBANDHA, Oct 03, 2020 (BSS) – The road communication between Gobindaganj and Dinajpur via Ghoraghat was suspended as Paschim Chourasta point of Gobindaganj-Ghoraghat road went under waist deep flood water.
Executive Engineer of Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) here Md. Mokhlasur Rahman said the water in Karotoa river was flowing 116 cm above the danger level at Katakhali Bridge point of Gobidaganj upazila, flooding most its areas.
As Paschim Chourasta point of Gobindaganj-Ghoraghat road went under flood water, all sorts of vehicles plying on Gobindaganj-Dinajpur route have been suspended considering their safety, Gobindaganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Ramkrishna Barman said.
