Construction worker electrocuted in city
DHAKA, Oct 1, 2020 (BSS) – A construction worker died after being electrocuted at Hazaribagh in the city today.
The deceased was Shafiqul Islam, 20, son of Nuruzzaman of Danguapara village in Rowmari upazila of Kurigram district.
The deceased’s colleague Kalim said Shafiqul was electrocuted around 1 pm today when he came in contact with an electric wire of a motor at downstairs of an under-construction building adjacent to Hazaribagh police station here.
Shafiqul was declared dead by the duty doctor at Dhaka Medical College Hospital at 2pm when he was taken to the health facility, Kalim added.
DMCH police outpost in-charge Md Bacchu Miah confirmed the incident and said the body has been kept at the DMCH morgue for autopsy.
