Iran’s president offers condolences on death of late Kuwaiti emir
TEHRAN, Sept 30, 2020 (BSS/XINHUA) – Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani issued on Wednesday a statement of condolences over the passing away of late Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The message, published on the Iranian Presidency website, is addressed to the new Kuwait’s Emir Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the government and the people.
“He played an important role in establishing regional balance and moderation,” read the note.
Earlier, Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif published a condolence message, wishing blessings for the new emir.
The late Kuwaiti emir passed away at the age of 91 on Tuesday.
