Two held with gold, valuables in frontier areas
DHAKA, Sept 29, 2020 (BSS) – The Border Guard Bangladesh has
arrested two persons with gold and valuables in separate drives in
border areas in the country.
Led by Subedar Shri Anit Kumar Kundu, Patrol Commander of Baikari
BOP under Satkhira Battalion (33 BGB) under Jessore Region of BGB, a
patrol team conducted a drive in Baikari frontier area and nabbed a
person with gold and valuables today.
The arrested was Md Sabbir Hossain, 18, son of Harun ur-Rashid,
hailed from village Choigharia under Satkhira district.
The sized materials included 10 gold bars weighing 1.570 kilogram,
a Suzuki motorcycle and one used mobile.
Khulna Battalion (21 BGB) under Jashore Region, led by Patrol
Commander Naib Subedar Md Kamal Hossain, conducted a raid at Shikri
Battala Balurmath Bridge and held a woman with 13 gold bars today.
The detainee was Poppy Khatun, 24, wife of Kamal Hossain of Putkhali
Paschim Para village of Jashore district.
