AL leader Sudhangshu Shekhar Halder’s 16th death anniversary tomorrow
DHAKA, Sept 28, 2020 (BSS) – The sixteenth death anniversary of noted Awami League politician and one of the prominent liberation war organisers Advocate Sudhangshu Shekhar Halder will be observed tomorrow.
Advocate Halder who was prominently known as noted parliamentarian and constitution expert, was elected parliament member in 1979 and 1991.
He was acknowledged as one of the best parliamentarian in the subcontinent by the BBC in 1980 and also became a central committee member of the ruling Awami League till his death in 1981.
To mark the death anniversary, Pirojpur district puja udjapan parishad will arrange a commemorating meeting at the central Kali Mandir premises at 10 am.
Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim will attend the function as the chief guest.
The noted Awami League leader died on September 29 in 2004 at the BARDEM hospital in the city.
