Begumganj UP Chairman dies
NOAKHALI, Sept 27, 2020 (BSS) – Omar Faruq Badsha, chairman of Begumganj Upazila Parishad (UP), died of cardiac arrest on the way to Dhaka today.
He was 60.
He left two sons and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Quoting family members, former Upazila Chairman VP Mohammad Ullah said they took him to Chowmuhani Life Care Hospital around 10 am when Omar Faruq felt chest pain at his Begumganj residence.
Later, he was referred to Dhaka as his condition deteriorated. But he died on the way to the capital around 2 pm, he added.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League (AL) Obaidul Quader, district unit AL president Khairul Anam Chowdhury Selim, Ekramul Karim Chowdhury, MP, Md Mamunur Rashid Kiron, MP, Zila Parishad Chairman Dr ABM Jajor Ullah and mayor of Chowmuhani Akter Hossain Faisal expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Omar Faruq.
They prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
