One held with 970 pieces of injection in Shibganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Sept 23, 2020 (BSS)- Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged drug peddler with 970 ampules of Indian buprenorphine injection from Koilabari under Shibganj upazila in the district this morning.
The arrested was identified as Md Quddus, 25 of Namochakpara village under Shahbajpur union of Shibganj upazila.
On a tip-off, an operation team of the RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp raided in Koilabari Batulpara area around 10.30 am and nabbed Quddus with the ampules of injection worth about Taka 1.94 lakh, RAB sources said.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to the police of Shibganj thana and a case was recorded with the police station in this connection, the sources added.
