DHAKA, Sept 21, 2020 (BSS)- Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of director (Administration) of the Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) Ilias Bhuiyan.
In a condolence message, the information minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Bhuiyan, also a joint secretary of the government, was killed and another injured after a truck hit their vehicle in Kajla area of Jatrabari in the capital early today.
Police said the accident took place in the area as the truck hit the vehicle, leaving the duo injured critically.
They were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors pronounced Ilias dead.
