CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Sept 17, 2020 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion
(RAB) arrested three alleged drug peddlers with seven bottles of foreign
liquor from Sonamasjid area under Shibganj upazila here last night.
The arrested persons were identified as Md. Masum Ahmed Raju, 22, Md.
Shamim Hossain, 22, and Md Samir, 20. All of them are the residents of
Baliadighi village under Shibganj upazila in the district.
Acting on tip-off, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp
raided the aforesaid area around 10:15 pm and arrested them with seven
bottles of foreign liquor worth Tk. 14,000.
Later, the arrested persons were handed over to the police of Shibganj
thana. A case was filed in this regard.
