Home minister plants saplings on parliament premises

DHAKA, Sept 15, 2020 (BSS) – Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan today planted saplings on the parliament premises, marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The home minister said the dream of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to liberate the entire nation from hunger and poverty has been fulfilled.

“Agriculture should be given importance to save the country in the context of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic”, Kamal said, adding the tree planting programme is going on in its continuity.

Marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, this programme is being implemented on the parliament premises as a target has been set to plant some 350-500 saplings in the Sangsad Bhaban area.

Member of Parliament Syed Najibul Bashar Maizbhandari also participated in tree plantation programme.

Officials concerned and employees of the Secretariat of Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad and PWD were present at the tree plantation programme.
