International Marathon to be held in Dhaka on Victory Day: Taposh
DHAKA, Sept 15, 2020 (BSS) –Dhaka South City Corporation (DACC) Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Nur Taposh today said international marathon, cycling, boat race and dragon Festival will be organized in Dhaka on the occasion of Victory Day.
He said this at the third meeting of the second council of the city corporation today, said a release.
A standing committee on sports and culture was formed at a board meeting held at the Mayor Hanif Auditorium of Nagar Bhaban.
The council also gave the primary responsibility of organizing Dhaka international marathon competition, cycling competition, boating competition and dragon festival to the newly formed Standing Committee on the occasion of Victory Day 2020.
Taposh said, “I am hopeful that you will be able to fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to the new standing committee.” I believe that you will bring Dhaka city and Dhaka people to the world stage through the successful organization of these competitions.”
