Court sends OC Pradip to jail over ACC case
CHATTOGRAM, Sept 14, 2020 (BSS) – A Chattogram court today ordered to send Pradip Kumar Das, former OC of Teknaf police station, to jail in a case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
The court of Metropolitan Sessions Judge Sheikh Ashfaqur Rahman has also fixed September 20 for the bail hearing of the accused.
Pradip was brought to Chattogram court from Chattogram Central Jail amid tight security around 1 pm.
ACC Assistant Director Riaz Uddin filed the case against Pradip and his wife Chumki Karan for allegedly acquiring assets worth around Tk 4 crore from unknown source of income and concealing information.
