Sabrina’s bail plea in double NID case scrapped
DHAKA, Sept 14, 2020 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today scrapped a bail plea of JKG Healthcare Chairman Dr Sabrina Arif Chowdhury in a case lodged over possessing two National ID cards with fake information and sent her to jail.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Devabrata Biswas passed the order as police produced Sabrina before the court after end of her two-day remand in the case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain on September 3 placed Sabrina on two-day remand. Earlier on that day, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sadbir Yasir Ahsan Chowdhury showed her arrested in the case, allowing a plea of the police.
Investigation officer and Badda Police Station sub-inspector Mominul Islam on September 1 filed the plea to show her arrested in the case and placed her on five-day remand.
Election Commission official Mohammad Momin Miah filed the case against Sabrina with Badda Police Station on August 30.
