Boy dies as riverbank collapsed in Hatia
NOAKHALI, Sept 13, 2020 (BSS) – A boy died as the riverbank
collapsed while he was fishing on the bank of the river Meghna in
Hatia Upazila of the district this noon.
The deceased was identified as Shahab Uddin, 13, hailed from
Mollah village in the Upazila.
Local people said the incident occurred in Janata Bazar Ghat
area, while Shahab was catching fishes with a fishing rod sitting
on the bank of the Meghna River. He was taken to a doctor, who
declared him dead.
Officer-in-Charge of Hatia Thana Abul Khair confirmed the
incident.
