Man held with 1,600 yaba tablets in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, Sept 13, 2020 (BSS)- An alleged drug-peddler has been arrested with 1,600 yaba tablets from Seroil bus stand under Boalia Police station in Rajshahi city this noon.
On a tip off, a police team in a sudden raid conducted the area around 11.15 am and arrested Montu Mian, 55, son of late Sazeman Ali of Biswanathpur area in Shibgonj Police Station of Chapainawabgonj district.
Police team recovered 1,600 yaba pills after searching his body.
Nibaran Chandra Barman, Officer-in-Charge of Boalia Police Station, said the arrested person confessed that he had been running trafficking and paddling of various drugs including yaba, heroin and phensidyl for long.
Legal action against him is on in this connection, he added.
