CTU arrests 2 drug traders with 50,000 yaba tablets
DHAKA, July 1, 2018 (BSS) – A team of Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) has
arrested two drug traders in the capital and recovered 50,000 yaba tablets, a
pistol and five bullets from their possession.
The arrestees are Md Kamrul Islam, 19, and Md Ali, 18, both hailing from
Teknaf upazila.
“A team of transnational crime division of the CTU conducted the raid at
Inner Circular Road area in Paltan at around 8.35 pm on Saturday and arrested
the duo red-handed with the drugs, arms and ammunitions,” a Dhaka
Metropolitan Police (DMP) release said.
A case has been lodged in this connection with Paltan police station.
