Two held with 814 bottles phensedyl in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, Sept 12, 2020 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in
two separate anti-crime drives, arrested two alleged drug peddlers with 814
bottles of phensedyl in the district last night.
The arrested were identified as Yousuf Ali, 32, son of late Mazder Hossain
and Sujan Ali, 25, son of Ziarat Ali.
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in Naodapara area
under Shahmukhdum Police Station in Rajshahi city at 7.45 pm and arrested
Yousuf Ali with 514 bottles of phensedyl after searching an onion-laden
truck, RAB sources said, adding that the team also seized the vehicle.
Another RAB team arrested Sujan Ali with 300 bottles of phensedyl red-
handed after conducting a raid at Muktarpur Naodara village under Charghat
upazila around 8.30 pm.
Later, the arrested persons along with the seized truck and contraband
goods were handed over to police.
Two separate cases were filed with the respective police stations in these
connections.
