DHAKA, Sept 11, 2020 (BSS) – The Election Commission (EC) of
Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) today declared all the submitted
forty-nine nomination papers as valid.
“The selection procedure started today (Friday) at election
commission office at BFF Bhaban. After scrutiny, the election
commission found no error and declared all the forty-nine nomination
papers valid,” said the chief election commission Mezbah Uddin Ahmed
through a video message today.
“We have received three nomination papers against president post,
two papers for senior vice-president posts, eight papers for
vice-president posts and thirty-six papers for member posts,” he
added.
“Tomorrow (Saturday) is the deadline for withdrawal of nomination
paper and we are expecting to publish the final list of the candidates
on Sunday,” he said.
The candidates submitted their nomination papers on September 8
last to contest the much-hyped BFF election.
A total of 139 delegates are expected to cast their votes to elect
a 21-member executive committee on October 3 polls.
