Corona infection gradually decreasing in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Sept 11, 2020 (BSS) – Corona virus infection has been declining in Chattogram district for the last two days.
A total of 53 people were detected positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours after testing 992 samples at five COVID-19 laboratories in Chattogram district.
Earlier, a total of 53 people were tested positive for coronavirus on Thursday after testing 359 samples in five COVID-19 laboratories in Chattogram district.
Among the newly infected people, 42 are residents of different wards of the city and 11 are residents of the different upazilas of the district.
The total number of infected patients now stands at 17751 in Chattogram district, Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, civil surgeon of Chattogram, told BSS today.
Among the total 17751 coronavirus infected persons, 12693 are the residents of the port city and the rest 4539 are residents of different upazilas of the district.
Analysis of the data shows that on Wednesday Sept 9, a total of 54 people were detected positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours after testing 971 samples in five COVID-19 laboratories in the district.
The infection rate is 17 percent. On Tuesday, Sept 8, 74 people were detected positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours after testing 1101 samples with an infection rate of 10.40 percent.
A total of 281 patients died till today by corona virus only in Chattogram district with today’s one death.
The total number of recovered patients from coronavirus rose to 8304 with the healing of 78 more people in the last 24 hours.
The percentage of recovery rate stands at 46.78 percent in the district,” Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, added.
