NETRAKONA-MASKS-DISTRIBUTION
One lakh masks distributed in Netrakona
NETRAKONA, Sept 10, 2020 (BSS) – Local administration distributed
one lakh masks among the people of five municipalities and 86 unions
under ten upazilas in the district today.
Deputy commissioner Kazi Mohammad Abdur Rahman told BSS that the
‘masks distribution program’ was undertaken to prevent community
transmission of coronavirus and to create mass awareness about uses of
masks.
The masks distribution program was inaugurated by Habiba Rahman Khan
Shefali, MP, as chief guest at a function held at the conference room
of Netrakona DC office here.
With DC Kazi Mohammad Abdur Rahman in the chair, it was addressed,
among others, by police super Akbar Ali Munshi, chairman of Netrakona
Zila Parishad Prasanta Kumar Roy, mayor of Netrakona municipality
Nazrul Islam Khan, general secretary of district Red Crescent Society
Gazi Muzammel Hussain Tuku and president of district Krishak League
Keshab Ranjan Sarker.
Speaking on the occasion, Habiba Rahman Khan Shefali urged all to
follow the health safety guidelines.
Later, a colorful cycle rally was brought out in the district town
under the auspices of local administration.
