Railway evicts 482 illegal establishments in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Sept 10, 2020 (BSS) – Eastern Zone of Bangladesh Railway (BR) in a daylong drive today evicted over 482 unauthorized shops and dwelling houses built
on railway land in city’s Dewanhat area and recovered 1.83 acres of valuable land.
“We have evicted over 482 makeshift unauthorized semi-pukka shops and houses in city’s Dewanhat area under Doublemooring thana and recovered 1.83 acres of valuable land upon the directives of the BR authority,” said Mahbub Karim, divisional state officer of Bangladesh railway eastern zone.
Mahbub Karim said the drives will continue to recover rest of BR land
in the port city.
Galib Chowdhury, executive magistrate of district administration conducted the four hour-long drive from 10 am in cooperation with police, Mahbubul Karim said.
