DHAKA, Sept 10, 2020 (BSS) – Chairman of Dhaka WASA and former professor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Dr. MA Rashid Sarkar passed away while undergoing treatment at Bangladesh Specialized Hospital this morning.
He was 67.
Rashid left behind his wife, son, daughter and well-wishers and huge admires to mourn his death.
Dr. MA Rashid was a professor of Nuclear Science and Engineering Department at Military Institute of Science and Technology.
MA Rashid also worked at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) where he served as Mechanical Engineering Department head and dean.
He introduced nuclear engineering course at BUET and was the founding director of the university’s Institute of Nuclear Engineering.
Dhaka WASA expressed deep shock and sorrow at his death and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
