Bangladesh air force officers’ promotion board-2020 held

DHAKA, Sep 10, 2020 (BSS) – The four-day promotion board of Bangladesh Air Force officers’ ended here today at Air Headquarters.

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal MasihuzzamanSerniabat chaired the Board Meeting.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated Bangladesh Air Force Officers’ Promotion Board-2020 on September 7 and conveyed her valuable guidance to the members of the Promotion Board through video conference, said a ISPR release.

In her address, the Prime Minister said that in addition to evaluating the ‘Trace Tabulated Record and Comparative Evaluation’ method for promotion, it is important to evaluate whether the officers are able to do well in the field, command or lead or have the ability to make immediate decisions.

In the light of the above guidelines, eligible officers who commanded successfully, having firm commitment for the strong determination to consolidate democracy, patriotism, trust-worthy in independence and the spirit of liberation war, leadership qualifications, professional skills, discipline, honesty and obedience are nominated for promotion to higher rank. Besides, qualification, professionalism, morality, discipline, honesty and loyalty have also been given importance for their promotion, it added.

Besides, the board took decision regarding promotion of eligible officers from the rank of Squadron Leader to Wing Commander, Wing Commander to Group Captain and Group Captain to Air Commodore.

Among others, Principal Staff Officers, Air Officer Commanding of different Air Force Bases and other Air Officers were present in the said board.
