4 more police give confessional statements on Sinha murder
COX’S BAZAR, Sept 09, 2020 (BSS) – Four more accused policemen made their confessional statements before a court here regarding Sinha murder today after presenting them before the court.
They are: ASI Liton Miah and Constables Safanur Karim, Kamal Hossain and Abdullah Al-Mamun.
Tamanna Farah of Senior Judicial Magistrate Court-4 in Cox’s Bazar recorded the statements of two of them under section 164 of code of criminal procedure following the 2nd phase of their 4-day remand, according to the court sources.
Another duo gave their statements before Judge Md Helal Uddin of Senior Judicial Magistrate Court-3.
Later, the court sent them to jail.
Major (retd) Sinha was killed in police firing at Baharchhara police check-post on July 31.
Sharmin Shahriar Ferdous, elder sister of Sinha, filed the case at the Teknaf Senior Judicial Magistrate Court on August 5.
