74 tested positive for COVID-19 in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Sept 8, 2020 (BSS) – A total of 74 people were detected positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours after testing 1,101 samples at five COVID-19 laboratories in the district.
A total of 282 patients died till today due to the deadly virus only in Chattogram district with today’s single death.
Among the newly detected patients, 50 are from Chattogram city and 24 from different upazilas of the district, hospital sources said.
The total number of infected patients now stands at 17,591 in Chattogram district, Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, civil surgeon of Chattogram, told BSS today.
Among the total infected people, 12,476 are the residents of the port city and the rest 4,536 are the inhabitants of different upazilas of the district.
The total number of recovered patients from coronavirus rose to 7,491 with the healing of 81 more people in the last 24 hours.
“The percentage of recovery rate stands at 42.58 percent in the district,” Dr Rabbi, added.
