Two killed in separate accidents in capital
DHAKA, Sept 4, 2020 (BSS) – Two persons including a children were killed in separate accidents in the capital today.
The two deceased are Zubayer, 7, and Jahirul Islam, 40.
“Zubayer was trying to fly kite at around 7.30 am on the roof of their Demra Basherpul area house. He fell from the rooftop and was severely injured. As we rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), attending doctors declared him dead at around 9.30am,” Zubayer’s uncle Mehedi Hasan told BSS.
DMCH police camp in-charge Inspector Bacchu Miah said the body was kept at the hospital morgue and local police has been informed.
Meanwhile, Dhaka Power Distribution Company (DPDC) lineman Jahirul Islam got electrocuted while working in electric sub-station situated in Ramna Sarak Bhaban area at around 9.30am.
Attending doctors at DMCH declared him dead as his colleagues rushed him there.
