Second day’s results of Inter-district Poomsae Taekwondo
DHAKA, Sept 4, 2020 (BSS)- Cumilla District Sports Association (DSA) won gold in both singles and doubles categories of men’s junior (8-12 years) events of the Inter-district Taekwondo competition held on the second day (Friday) at National Sports Council gymnasium.
Mohammad Mashrafe of Cumilla DSA won the gold medal in single event while he pairing with Taher Hossain bagged the gold medal in the doubles category.
Cumilla DSA also maintain their supremacy in the singles and doubles categories of men’s junior 13-15 years event securing gold medals in both categories.
In the 16-18 men’s junior singles, doubles and team events, Sirajganj DSA won gold medals while, Cumilla DSA won gold medals in both singles and doubles event of 8-12 year women’s junior category.
On the other hand, Rajshahi DSA won gold medal in the 13-15 years women’s singles and doubles event while Sirajganj DSA secured gold medal in the 13-15 year of women’s team event.
In the 16-18 women’s junior singles event, Chatrogram DSA won gold medal and Gazipur DSA bagged gold in the both doubles and team-event. The competition is being held in twelve categories with the participants are fighting for thirty six gold and silver, and equal number of bronze medals.
A total of six clubs along with Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Ansar and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and two hundred poomsae participants from fourteen districts across the country are taking part in the meet, by the supervision of Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation.
