GAIBANDHA, Sept 4, 2020(BSS) – Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) has taken up an initiative to distribute incentive money to 454 small and marginal farmers of three upazilas of the district.
The objective of the incentive money distribution is to inspire the farmers of Gaibandha Sadar, Shaghata and Fulchhari upazilas to increase aus production to ensure food security of the country, office sources said.
The money is being sent to the accounts of the farmers through online system. Each of the farmers is getting Taka 1000 from the corporation under its irrigation incentive programme.
Earlier, deputy commissioner (DC) Abdul Matin formally inaugurated the incentive money distribution activity in a function held at his office of the town on Wednesday as the chief guest.
Executive engineer of BADC Chittaranjan Roy, deputy director of the DAE Masudur Rahman, sub assistant engineers of the BADC Matiul Islam and Arman Badsha, beneficiary farmers Adbul Malek Mondal and Abdul Aziz Mondal were present on the occasion.
