DHAKA, Sept 2, 2020 (BSS) – The government has decided to appoint Mizanur Rahman, currently serving as Bangladesh High Commissioner (HC) to Canada, as the next Bangladesh Ambassador to Oman.
Rahman is a career foreign service officer belonging to 1985 batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Foreign Affairs cadre, a foreign ministry press release said here today.
Prior to his present assignment, he served as Ambassador of Bangladesh to The Netherlands and later to Egypt.
He also served as Secretary (Bi-lateral and Consular) and earlier as Additional Secretary (Bi-lateral and Consular) at the foreign ministry here.
Mizanur Rahman obtained his MSc in Physics from Dhaka University.
