JAMALPUR, Sep 2, 2020 (BSS)- Agriculture Department will disburse incentive on black gram more known as Mashkolai cultivation worth about TK nine lakh 18 thousand in the district in this current kharip-2 season.
According to Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) office a total of 1200 small and marginal farmers will get incentive for cultivating black gram on one Bigha of land each.
Under the programme each farmers will get black gram seeds, DAP fertilizer, muriatic potassium fertiliser and other expenditure at free of cost.
The office said 200 farmers each in Jamalpur Sadar, Sarishabari, Islampur and Dewanganj upazilas , 140 farmers in Melandah, 160 farmers in Madarganj and 100 farmers in Bakshiganj Upazila will come under the programme.
The office said the basic objective of the programme is to increase black production in the district.
Deputy Director, DAE, Mohammad Amiul Islam said distribution of the incentive has already been begun and will be completed in a week.
