IBCCI mourns death of Pranab Mukherjee
DHAKA, Sept 1, 2020 (BSS) – India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and
Industry (IBCCI) today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of former
President of India Pranab Mukherjee.
In a condolence message, IBCCI President Abdul Matlub Ahmad said Pranab
Mukherjee was a tested friend of Bangladesh. The Bengali nation will forever
remember his outstanding contribution to the Great War of Liberation with
deep respect and gratitude, he added.
“India lost a wise and patriotic leader and Bangladesh lost a loved one
in the death of Pranab Mukherjee. He will live as a shining star in the
politics of the subcontinent and in the hearts of the people of the
subcontinent,” he added.
He said Pranab Mukherjee had also played an outstanding role in boosting
trade and commerce between the two countries.
The IBCCI President prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and
conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
