AL leaders for unmasking masterminds behind Bangabandhu assassination
MYMENSINGH, Aug 30, 2020 (BSS) – The leaders of the district Awami
League yesterday demanded unmasking the masterminds behind the assassination
of Bangabandhu and bring them to justice.
“All killers and masterminds behind the killing of Bangabandhu have to
be unmasked before the people” they said at a discussion on Saturday evening.
To mark 45th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Mymensingh District Awami League organised the
discussion at Tareque Smriti auditorium here.
President of the district Awami League Advocate Jahirul Haque presided
over the discussion while organizing secretary of the central Awami League
Shafiul Alam Chowdhury was present as the chief guest.
The discussion was addressed, among others, by Nazim Uddin Ahamed MP,
Anwarul Abedin Khan MP, Kazim Uddin Ahamed MP, Monira Sultana MP, City Mayor
Ekramul Haque Teto, Zila Parisad chairman Yusuf Khan Pathan, president of
City AL Ehteshamul Alam, general secretary of the district AL Advocate
Muazzen Hossen Babul and vice-president of the district AL Aminul Haque
Shamim.
AL leaders said anti liberation forces are plotting conspiracies against
independence of Bangladesh still now. They called upon the party leaders and
workers to remain alert against the conspiracies. They also urged them to
work unitedly under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina
for building ‘Sonar Bangla’ as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Later, a doa mahfil was held seeking eternal peace of the departed souls
of Bangabandhu and his family members.
