Indonesia reports 2,858 newly-confirmed COVID-19 cases, 82 new deaths
JAKARTA, Aug 30, 2020 (BSS/XINHUA) – The COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose
by 2,858 within one day to 172,053, with the death toll adding by 82 to
7,343, the Health Ministry said on Sunday.
According to the ministry, 1,383 more people were discharged from
hospitals, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 124,185.
The virus has spread to all the country’s 34 provinces.
Specifically, within the past 24 hours, Jakarta recorded 1,094 new cases,
East Java 466, East Kalimantan 197, Central Java 138 and Riau 134.
No more new positive cases were found in four provinces, namely Jambi,
Riau Islands, Central Sulawesi and Gorontalo.
