Bangabandhu Corner set up in Mymensingh’s Mominunnessa College
MYMENSINGH, Aug 30, 2020 (BSS) – Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Muktijuddho Corner were set up in Momenunnessa Govt. Mohila College here yesterday marking the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation.
The college authorities set up the corner as Monira Sultana, MP, inaugurated it as the chief guest.
On the occasion, a function was arranged while Principal in-charge of the college Prof. Md. Abu Taher presided it.
Prof. Zulfiker Hyder and Prof Anamul Haque of the college, among others, spoke.
Over one hundred of rare photographs of Bangabandhu, his political and life history mentioning date and year have been placed at the corner.
The corner will contribute to let the students of the college know about the life and noble works of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Monira Sultana, MP, also the former general secretary of the college Chhatra Sangsad, thanked the college authorities for taking such a unique initiative like setting up Bangabandhu corner.
She also urged all to follow the ideals of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and work together for building Sonar Bangla as dreamt by the Bangabandhu.
Teachers, students and guardians were present at the function.
