JU BCS forum demands to bring back fugitive killers of Bangabandhu

DHAKA, Aug 29, 2020 (BSS) – Leaders of Jahangirnagar University BCS Officers’ Forum today demanded to bring back remaining fugitive killers of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and most of his family members and execute their verdicts.

They were addressing a discussion, organised by Jahangirnagar University BCS Officers’ Forum, on Friday at the National Academy for Educational Management (NAEM) on the occasion of the 45th martyrdom anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day.

The speakers strongly condemned the brutal killings of Bangabandhu and most of his family members on August 15, 1975.

Chaired by Monowar Hossain, secretary (PRL), the leaders also expressed satisfaction over the execution of the verdicts of the Bangabandhu killing case and vowed to thwart any future conspiracy.

General Secretary of the forum Abdul Ahad delivered the welcome speech, while vice president Ahmed Munirus Salehin, secretary of expatriate welfare and overseas employment ministry, Tahiat Hossain, additional secretary of the education ministry and Professor Ahmed Sajjad Rashid, director general, NAEM also spoke, among others.

The meeting began with recitation from the holy Quran. Later, one-minute silence was observed followed by special prayers and doa mahfil seeking eternal peace for the departed souls of those who were assassinated on August 15, 1975.

Besides, other members of the executive committee were present at the meeting.
