Masterminds of August 15 carnage need to be registered nationally: Razzaque
DHAKA, Aug 29, 2020 (BSS)- Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzaque today said all masterminds behind the killings of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and most of his family members on August 15 in 1975 should be registered nationally so that their real faces can be unmasked publicly.
“By forming a commission, all perpetrators behind the August 15 carnage should be registered nationally. Their real faces must be exposed to the nation by recording,” he said.
He made the remarks at a roundtable discussion titled ‘August Ek Ondhokar Oddhay’, organized by ‘Hasumani’s Pathshala’ at the Nalini Kanta Bhattasali Gallery of Bangladesh National Museum in the capital on the occasion of the 45th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day.
A painting exhibition of Zakir Hossain Pulak was also arranged there which was inaugurated by State Minister for Cultural Affairs K M Khalid.
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni and State Minister for Information Dr Md Murad Hassan spoke at the discussion.
Presided over by President of ‘Hasumani’s Pathshala’ Marufa Akhter Poppy, the function was addressed by Director General of Bangladesh National Museum Khandaker Mostafizur Rahman, among others.
