3,500 meters current nets seized in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Aug 29, 2020 (BSS) – A mobile court here today seized 3,500 meters of current fishing nets from different areas in the Halda river, the country’s only natural fish breeding ground.
The court, led by Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Ruhul Amin conducted the
drives at North and South Madarsha areas of the river and seized the current nets.
UNO Ruhul Amin said the upazila administration is always vigilant to protect the biodiversity of the Halda river and the administration will continue the drive on the river.
