DU VC condoles death of Journalist Rahat Khan
DHAKA, Aug 29, 2020 (BSS) – Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor
Dr Akhtaruzzaman has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of
eminent journalist, novelist and former editor of The Daily Ittefaq
Rahat Khan.
In a condolence message, Akhtaruzzaman prayed for eternal peace of
the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family,
said a press release.
Former chairman of the board of directors of the state-run national
news agency Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), the Ekushy award
winning journalist breathed his last at his city’s Eskaton Garden
residence around 8:30 on Friday night. He died of old-age
complications at the age of 80.
