DHAKA, Aug 29, 2020 (BSS) – On behalf of the ministry, State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury paid tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreath at his grave at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Saturday.
Later, he offered doa and joined a munajat seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Bangabandhu and others who were killed on August 15.
At that time, Chairman of the Mongla Port Rear Admiral SM Abul Kalam Azad, chairman of BIDB-UTC Khaza Miah, chairman of BIDB-UTA Commodore Golam Sadeq and Director General of the Shipping Department Commodore Abu Zafar. Jalal Uddin along with others were also present.
Later, the state minister visited the Patgati launch ghat intertwined with the memory of Bangabandhu.
