JU VC mourns death of renowned journalist Rahat Khan
SAVAR, Aug 29, 2020 (BSS)- Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Jahangirnagar
University (JU) Professor Dr Farzana Islam today expressed profound shock and
sorrow at the death of country’s eminent journalist and novelist Rahat Khan.
In a condolence message, the VC recalled the glorious career of Rahat Khan
and said that the death of Rahat Khan has created a vacuum in the both arena
of journalism and literature which is an irreparable loss to the country.
Dr Farzana prayed for eternal peace of his departed soul and conveyed
sympathy to the bereaved family.
Rahat Khan, the Ekushey award winning journalist, died at his Eskaton
Garden residence in the capital on Friday night due to old-age complications
at the age of 79.
