DHAKA, Aug 27, 2020 (BSS) – Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Khulna, Barishal, Rajshahi, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said a met office release here today.
The well-marked low over North West Bay and adjoining area now lies over Bihar and adjoining areas. The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Horiyana, Uttar Pradesh, the centre of well-marked low thence Northeastwards to Assam across Gangetic West Bengal and central part of Bangladesh.
One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay.
Country’s highest temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 35.4 degree Celsius at Sayedpur and lowest one today was recorded at 24.0 degree Celsius at Teknaf.
Highest rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded at 51 millimeters (mm) at Teknaf.
