One held with arms, ammo in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Aug 27, 2020 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged arms peddler with a pistol, one shooter gun, two magazines and six rounds of bullet from Jamtala bridge intersection under Shibganj upazila here last night.
The arrested person was identified as Md Nayeem Ali, 19 of Guptamanik Dhainagar village under Shibganj upazila in the district.
RAB sources said acting on secret information, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp raided the aforesaid area around 9:30 pm and arrested Nayeem with the arms and ammunition.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to the police of Shibganj police station.
A case was filed in this connection.
