GM Quader for national unity against evil forces in Covid-19 situation
DHAKA, Aug 26, 2020 (BSS) – Jatiya Party Chairman and Deputy Leader of the Opposition in Parliament GM Quader today called for forging national unity so that no evil force in the country can take the advantages of the current situation triggered by global pandemic Covid-19.
“The government should take an initiative to this end. We are ready to give all-out support to the government,” he said while exchanging views with leaders of Manikganj unit of Jatiya Party at his Banani office in the city.
Noting that the culture of the country’s politics has changed, GM Quader said, “The people of the country now do not accept hartal (strike) and other destructive political programmes. Many political parties are now being extinct due to the change in the political culture”.
Terming the election as the best way to go to the general people, the Jatiya Party chairman said his party will uphold the ideals and programmes of HM Ershad before the countrymen by taking part in all elections.
Presided over by Jatiya Party presidium member Syed Mohammad Abdul Mannan, the function was also addressed by Co-Chairman Syed Abu Hossain Babla, presidium members AZM Khan and Advocate Md Rejaul Islam Bhuiyan, advisory council member Jahirul Alam Rubel, joint secretary general Golam Mohammad Raju, organizing secretaries Syed Md Iftekhar Ahsan Hasan, Md Humayun Khan and Syed Manjurul Haque Manju, among others.
