Murad for holding posthumous trial of Zia-Mostaq
DHAKA, Aug 25, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Information Dr Murad
Hassan today demanded the posthumous trial of Ziaur Rahman and
Khondaker Mostaq Ahmad, saying that they patronized the killing of
Bangabandhu on August 15 carnage.
“Ziaur Rahman and Khondaker Mostaq Ahmad should be brought under the
posthumous trial as patrons of the killing of Father of the Nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,” he told a discussion and milad
mahfil in the city.
Television Camera Journalists’ Association (TCA) organized the
discussion and milad mahfil at its office in the city’s Banglamotor
area, marking the 45th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day.
Murad also demanded the execution of death penalty of the fugitive
convicted killers of Bangabandhu after bringing them back to home.
Noting that the killers wanted to erase Bangabandhu from the
history, he said, “Bangabandhu, however, is alive like sunshine. But
the conspirators are being erased from the history”.
Presided over by TCA President Sheikh Mahabub Alam, the discussion
was addressed, among others, by lawmaker Saifuzzaman Shikhor, Awami
Jubo League General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil and Prime
Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary Md Ashraful Alam Khokan.
