Ex-cop jailed in graft case
DHAKA, Aug 25, 2020 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today sentenced former police Inspector Hamidul Huq to two-year imprisonment in a graft case.
Judge Sheikh Hafizur Rahman of Dhaka Special Judge Court-9 passed the order in absentia and issued a conviction warrant against the fugitive convict.
The court also fined him Taka 50 thousand and to suffer one-year imprisonment more in default.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the case against the former Inspector of Feni Hamidul Huq for not submitting a wealth statement in spite of repeated notices.
