DNCC conducts anti-mosquito drives at 28 hospitals
Dhaka, Aug 24, 2020 – (BSS) – The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) conducted anti-mosquito drives at 28 hospitals within its jurisdiction today, kicking off a weeklong special programme.
“The DNCC has undertaken the weeklong special programme to ensure that patients, doctors, nurses and other paramedics in hospitals under DNCC don’t get infected with dengue,” said a release.
On the first day, they conducted mosquito eradication activities at the 28 hospitals from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
During the three days of the second phase of the program, special mosquito eradication activities have been conducted in a total of 95 hospitals under the DNCC.
During the week-long program, larvicide (mosquito larvae pesticide) and adulticide (adult mosquito pesticide) are being applied every day from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm.
Mosquito eradication activities will continue in the hospitals of Dhaka North tomorrow as well.
