Nuruzzaman emphasized on quality standards while implementing projects
DHAKA, Aug 24, 2020 (BSS) – Social Welfare Minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed today directed the concerned authorities to implement the government’s welfare projects keeping the quality standards right.
“Social Welfare projects are implemented aiming the helpless people. Everyone involved in the project should be vigilant so that the standard remains high and the government money is not wasted in any way,” a release here quoted the minister saying that.
He was addressing an online progress review meeting of development projects under the annual development programme of the Ministry of Social Welfare.
“When the whole world was stagnant due to the corona virus, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at that time extended her hand to the helpless setting aside the fear of the pandemic,” the minister said , said the release.
Stating the example of brave step taken by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina rare in the world the minister said that She is being lauded all over the world for tackling Coronavirus situation.
He called on the officers and employees to continue to provide services to the people till the situation gets normal.
State Minister for Social Welfare Mohammad Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru and Secretary Mohammad Zainul Bari also attended the meeting.
The state minister for social welfare said, “As the World Health Organization (WHO) opined that Coronavirus may not leave all on a sudden, development work must continue and has to be completed on time by setting a proper work plan,”, added the release.
