KHULNA, Aug 23, 2020(BSS) – Ali Akbor Sheikh, former Chairman of Rupsha upazila and Youth and Sports Secretary of Khulna district unit Awami League (AL) passed away this morning due to cardiac arrest at his residence here.
He was 54.
Akbor, also an ex-veteran Chhatra League (BCL) leader, left behind his wife, a son and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
His first namaz-e-janaza was held at the city’s AL office premises after Zohr prayers. He will be
buried at his family graveyard at Rahimnagar village under Rupsha upazila in Khulna after
holding second namaz-e-Janaza after Asr prayers, said District AL Office Secretary Advocate Farid Ahmed.
