DHAKA, Aug 22, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Housing and Public Works Sharif Ahmed has said the successors of the killers, who brutally assassinated Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 15, 1975, had carried out the deadly attack on August 21, 2004 to kill the then Leader of the Opposition Sheikh Hasina.
The state minister demanded speedy execution of the verdict of the August 21 grenade attack case.
He was speaking at a doa mahfil in memory of the victims of the August 21 grenade attack organized by the Mymensingh Metropolitan Awami League at the Tarek Memorial Auditorium of Mymensingh on Friday, said a press release.
The state minister said, the successors of the August 21 grenade attack, anti-liberation war criminals, Razakars, Al-Badars and Al-Shams killed Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman under an evil design to undermine the independence and sovereignty of the country.
Sharif said all the conspiracies would be foiled and the country will move forward on the path of development to build ‘Sonar Bangla’ as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
