Banks to remain open Saturday
DHAKA, June 29, 2018 (BSS) – Branches concerned of all scheduled banks
will remain open on Saturday (June 30), the last day of the outgoing fiscal
year 2017-18, to provide cheque, chalan, pay-order or demand draft services
to clients for payment of their income tax, VAT and customs duty.
Bangladesh Bank (BB) on Wednesday issued a circular with necessary
instructions in this regard.
It also asked the banks to take adequate security measures for those
branches as it is a public holiday.
